Here we suggest not to go to VMware official website to download ESXi, directly through the DELL official download, after all, DELL engineers have helped us to test well, add some unique drivers, compatibility should be better.
What drivers and files are modified or included in a Dell EMC VMware ESXi customized image?
- Each image is a customization of a specific version of the base VMware image. Dell customizations for this image include:
- Modify files to recognize Dell and Dell Support.
- Update the ESXi image with the latest validated asynchronous drivers.
- Update patches if resolving common issues with Dell systems.
It is recommended that you use the latest version of the image that applies to your Dell system.
